Yes, it is real, and it is fabulous! - For profit share to exist the Keller Williams office in which the agent you sponsored must be profitable. Lucky for us 99% of KW offices are profitable because the model is tightly managed by each region. Only certain expenses are allowed to be deducted prior to profit share being paid out.
But let's start with one thing - YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED to RECRUIT. Do we get pretty excited about it? Yes. Some agents in our office are making thousands each month by attracting their friends to an office they love but you will never be pressured to recruit.
48%- remember that number. That is the portion of profit each office is REQUIRED to pay from their market center profit into profit share.
50% - percentage of the profit generated by the agent in your first tier that you are entitled to as their sponsor.
10% - percentage of the profit generated by the agent in your second tier that you are entitled to as their sponsor.
5% - percentage of the profit generated by the agent in your third tier that you are entitled to as their sponsor.
5% - percentage of the profit generated by the agent in your fourth tier that you are entitled to as their sponsor.
7.5% - percentage of the profit generated by the agent in your fifth tier that you are entitled to as their sponsor.
10% - percentage of the profit generated by the agent in your sixth tier that you are entitled to as their sponsor.
12.5% - percentage of the profit generated by the agent in your seventh tier that you are entitled to as their sponsor.
Average agent/average sponsor - there is no average, but if you'd like to work with a round number; for a mid-range profitable market center and an agent sponsored in who caps - the average profit share would be about $2,000.00 per year. There are many, many, variables in this arrangement so nothing is guaranteed.
Intangible Reward - the real reward isn't just in profit share. True reward is in the agent you sponsored prospering in a great culture and making more for their family than before due to the model, training and resources.

TWO GENERATIONS - your profit share account, after three years and one day as a Keller Williams agent is vested. On your death - that profit share account passes to your beneficiary; after their death it passes down another generation. That can go to anyone you choose, including charitable organizations.
